Samsung Galaxy S2 Jelly Bean (Android 4.1)

Samsung Galaxy S2 Jelly Bean Release Date: Looks Like It’s Coming Soon (Android 4.1)

We previously got word from Samsung Denmark that the Galaxy S2 should receive the long-awaited Android 4.1 update in November, and although, in the past, a September-October roll-out timeframe looked possible, it doesn’t really matter anymore, considering the fact that we’re almost at the end of the month.

But that’s not all: it looks like the Samsung Galaxy S2 will indeed receive the highly anticipated Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in November. This confirmation comes directly from Samsung Sweden so it actually looks like the roll-out is just around the corner.

The update is expected to be deployed over-the-air and through Samsung Kies software, and will bring quite a changelog along for the ride. Among the most notable changes and improvements you can count Google Now, the new notification bar, a reorganized settings menu and of course, a notable increase in performance and smoothness thanks to Project Butter working its magic under the hood.

Are you excited about the arrival of Android 4.1 on your Galaxy S2? If so, stick around and we’ll keep you posted as soon as the story develops and hopefully, the US variants will not be missing in action for long.

Thanks Sam Mobile for the heads-up regarding the Samsung Galaxy S2 Jelly Bean release
