LAS VEGAS — Actiontec today showed off at CES 2013 its first wireless display kit called ScreenBeam. This is a Miracast-certified kit that allows for displaying a mobile device’s screen on to the big screen TV.
Actiontec say ScreenBeam is one of the the first devices approved by the Wi-Fi Alliance for their Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Miracast program. This ensure that it’s compatible with other MiraCast-enabled devices.
Actiontec offers ScreenBeam as both a stand-alone wireless display adapter and as a kit. A stand-alone adapters works with existing Miracast-certified devices including laptops, smartphones, tablets, and devices running Android or WiDi 3.5 and higher. The kit also comes with an USB transmitter that adds MiraCast to any existing Windows 7 & 8 PCs.

Other that that, the ScreenBeam is HDMI-certified, offer 1080P HD video and audio. The device has the range of 50 feet and doesn’t require line-of-sight to work.
